Here's an environment design for the first level of the game, inspired by folklore and fables. I aimed for a slightly surreal atmosphere reminiscent of Wonderland, featuring oversized flowers and mushrooms. Vibrant colors distinguish it from the real world. The second version depicts the transformation caused by Chernobog, rendering the world sick, dying, and toxic.
Here are color explorations capturing the envisioned world at various stages: vibrant and bright for the day, magically colorful during the night, and sickeningly unsettling after the calamity strikes.
